About Me
I’m Ronia Michael, RSW (Registered Social Worker), registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). With more than 25 years of experience supporting women, individuals, couples, youth, and families, I bring a compassionate, trauma-informed, and practical approach to counselling. I also hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Existential Holistic Psychotherapy at the Master’s level, which has deepened my understanding of the connection between our emotional, physical, relational, and life experiences.
I work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, difficulty with boundaries, and major life transitions. My approach draws from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative and solution-focused therapies, somatic work, psychodynamic and existential approaches. I tailor counselling to each woman’s unique experiences, strengths, needs, and goals.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest, feel genuinely heard, and explore what is really happening without judgment. Whether you’re healing from the past, struggling with the present, or wondering what you want from the next chapter of your life, I offer warmth, empathy, directness, and a little humour along the way. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out—sometimes, reaching out is simply the beginning of choosing yourself.
